mobile Device Platform (mDP).
It is a system that enables receiving and processing information from different data sources and distributing it to mobile devices such as phones and watches. It is also possible to communicate between connected mobile devices (chat) as well as create photos, event reports, quality reports of production devices, order parts scanned by phone and many more. This data can be read later in the web application.
mobile Devices Platform has been successfully implemented in Volkswagen production plants. The idea behind the implementation was to reduce the time it took for a fault to occur on the production line and effective action to be taken by the appropriate staff. The employee receives an alarm about faults in real time after filtering for his profession and the production line he works on. Information is transmitted to smartphones or watches without delay and only to those affected by the fault (filtration).
The system was designed to process thousands of data per hour and distribute it to hundreds of mobile devices in real time. In addition to handling information about production failures (alarms), buffer status and shift counters, the system allows taking photos, failure reports, machine operation reports, ordering warehouse parts and tracking objects in production. All this information is available on properly configured mobile devices as well as in the Web
